PSP9 is conspiring to kill me, I'm certain.

Yesterday, I realized that the object selection tool isn't working. The button in the toobar just won't depress.This is particularly frustrating as there are two icons I really want to make that kind of require this tool.

Also, and this was about a month ago, my eraser won't erase at percentages other than 0% and 100%.

If anyone might know how to fix this, please help me!
