How to go from

in a few simple steps using PSP
Step 1
I took this photo of Lindsay
cropped it down to 100x100 =

Step 2
Using the "enhance photo" drop down menu I selected "automatic contrast enhancement" use the following settings:
Bias = Darker
Strength = normal
Appearence = bold.
To look at it doesnt appear to make much difference, but it does improve the image quality -
Step 3
Copy the base and set it to "screen" 100%
Step 4
Create a new layer and use colour #1c2942 on 100% opacity, then set it to exclusion, do this twice. Next go to the layer drop down menu and merge>merge all. This creates the one layer -
Step 5
Make a new layer, set to burn and input colour #9d9fa1 100% burn
Step 6
Create one more layer, set to overlay 10% and basically play around with colours and if necessary sharpen the base once. Blues will get you
, oranges
and yellow
to get the text on the last one use Print Dashed size 20. This font can be downloaded at http://www.bvfonts.com
