Petals Effect

I use PhotoShop CS2 & ImageReady
I would like to know other type of animations that I can do with IR other than the ones I know: i did this
I tried to do the rain effect for the first time last night but I failed. (I'll try again).

How do I do something like the rain effect but I wanna have petals instead?
