so freaking confused!

Alrighty so I'm having a problem and its confusing me wayyyyyy too much. I have PSP9 and I've had it for awhile, but all of a sudden the text is not showing up when I try to add it. I look and its acting like its there but its no where to be seen even when everything is merged or its just some plain picture. Any suggestions? maybe reinstall?

omg I'm soooo dumb! I didn't have a background color for the text so it was showing up as nothing...OH BOY. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE HELP THO! *slaps self silly*
