Alright! I've been hanging around this joint for a long time and it's about time I contributed.

Go from Image hosted by Photobucket.com to Image hosted by Photobucket.com
in 12 items or less!

Created in PSP7, but I'm sure it works just as well elsewhere

Rightio, got this screencap from goddess_raven And thought: ICONAGE!
So, I brightend it and did other wiggy stuff to it to get my base.

Base: Image hosted by Photobucket.com

If your base isn't as blue as this one (because it does have to be blue to work): Duplicate the base. Go to Coloures > Colourise. Set to Hue:163 Saturation:125. Leave as 100% Normal to start off with a rather ordinary looking blue base.

New layer. Flood with #C1C280. Set to 80% Overlay

New layer. Flood with #C00000. Set to 45% Burn

Duplicate base to a new layer. Set to 70% Screen

New Layer. Flood with #796945. Set to 50% Soft light

Duplicate base to a new layer. Desaturate. Set to 40% Hard light

Duplicate base to a new layer. Go to Colours > Adjust > Hue/Saturation/Lightness. Set hue to -180. Set to 50% Soft Light

Duplicate base to a new layer. Set to 50% Hue.

Done! Woo!

Now all that's left is to add text and a border.
And also that little scribbly thing.

I could explain how to make it...comment if you want that added. Or just steal it. Whatev.

With the brush, stamp it whereever there is a space, I used #C0C0C0 and set it to 50%.

This same brush was also used to make the border. Stealing a colour from the icon itself, whatever tickles your pickle, with the eyedropper tool, setting brush size to 10, then just outlining the image as neat or rough as you like. FUN!

Then over the top of the scribbly thing, the text used was a slightly darker colour, #A09E9E or so, set at Luminance.
Text used on this image is:
"Verdana" Size 4 for 'Sweet'
"Vladmir Script" Size 11 for 'Cancer'

And there you go. Hope that was fun. Mmmmhmmm.

This icon started off not-so-blue and see how it goes...

If you want to hurt me because it didn't work out so well, don't hesitate to bash my head in.
And also, I would love to see what people do with this.

And please, go easy on me....first Tutorial and all.
If this ended up somehow like someone elses, feel free to bash my head in...but please tell me why first.
