PSPX question

I have PSP9 and have had since about March but I'm thinking about upgrading it to PSPX because it has more features but my question is: Is PSPX really any different to PSP9 as I have only just worked out how to do most things in PSP in regard to making icons and making them look good (I still don't know how to use the blur tool though) and I don't want to start from the beginning all over again so if anyone who has it could give me their opinion on it and if it is any different and how so please it would be greatly appreciated.
