Photoshop CS2 Question
A friend of mine asked me if I could help her with this problem she's having, but I had no idea how to fix it. Since she doesn't have an lj account, I told her I'd post here to see if anyone could help. I'll give her the link to this post so she can read the comments. Here's what she says:
I downloaded a free 30-day trial version of photoshop from the Adobe website. Installation went fine. I opened it and used it for an hour or so with now problems. Then it froze a few times and when I tried to reopen it, it gave me an error message that I eventually figured out meant I needed more hard drive space. That surprised me since I thought I had plenty of space, but when I checked, I was down to about 6GB. So I deleted a bunch of huge video files, and was back up to about 14GB. Reopened photoshop, worked for an hour or so, but noticed my computer was still slow. Checked hard drive again…down to 3G. Deleted more huge video files to bring it up to 12GB available space. Opened photoshop and immediately checked hard drive…4GB.
Clearly somehow the act of opening photoshop is eating huge amounts of space. But I can’t figure out how. I’ve searched and can’t find any huge files. Or a multiplicity of the same files. I’m not reinstalling the program, just opening it.
Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?
If anyone could help her out, that would be very awesome. Thanks in advance for the help!
EDIT: The suggestion to download valet worked for her. Thanks to everyone who replied!! :)
