PSP 9 - Curved text

I looked through the memories and the only tutorial for curved text I could find was for PSP 8. I tried the tutorial and could not make it work in PSP 9. Is there anyone who uses PSP 9 and knows how to do curved text? I've tried doing OBJECTS>>CONVERT TEXT TO CURVES>>AS SINGLE SHAPES and OBJECT>>CONVERT TO PATH and OBJECT>>FIT TEXT TO PATH, none of which have been successful. Am I perhaps missing something?
