Dark/washed out look tutorial for PSP8
Go from
to 
1.Crop and re-size your pic to get a 100x100 base (well,if you haven`t done that already)

2.Duplicate your base,desaturate it and and set it to Hard Light at about 62% opacity.

3.Create a new raster layer,flood fill it with a dull orange-y color(#DDAB71)and set it to Multiply at about 60% opacity.

4.Duplicate your desaturated second layer,drag it on top of your third layer and set it to Soft Light at about 62% opacity.

5.Create a new raster layer,flood fill it with a grey/pink gradient and set it to Color at about 10% opacity.


6.Create another new raster layer,flood fill it with greenish brown colour (#73643C) and set it to Hard Light at about 46% opacity.

7.Lastly add these two splatter brushes (sorry,can`t remember who made them):

this grunge brush by

and some text in 6pt Augustus and you`re done :)
