Adding font to full icons.

Hey,
So I need some suggestions on how to approach a font "issue"
I'm horrible at knowing how to best add a font without destroying a picture.
My friend requested an icon from me.
I'm taking this picture

and my friend wants it to say "I am my own worst enemy"

Would anyone be willing to share ideas of how they'd add text to the icon without covering up her face or without completely distorting the image?
I'd really appreciate it.. I need help with this part!
