Tutorial Number One

My First Tutorial. Made on PSP9 I am sure its translatable though.

Base
01. I took THIS image cropped and resized it. Then sharpened once.

02. Paste this gradient: as a new layer set to Multiply at 80% Opacity

03. Create a new layer and flood fill it with: (#fae5b1) set to Overlay at 100% Opacity

04. Duplicate base and drag it to the top. Desaturate and set to Screen at 100% Opacity Merge all layers.


Now we have a good quality base. Now onto the designing.

Coloring
05. Create new layer and flood fill it with: (#000040) Exclusion at 100% Opacity


06. Create new layer and flood fill it with: (#f6d8c4) Multiply at 100% Opacity Merge all layers.


Gradients/Textures:

07. Lighten at 74% Opacity


08. Soft Light at 74% Opacity (icongradients)


09. Soft Light at 100% Opacity (inxsomniax)


10. Screen at 60% Opacity (icon_tutorial)


11. added a 2px border by me. Merge all layers


12. Add text then your done. by stillbeautiful. Copy and paste as new layer. Set to Multiply 100% Merge all.
