lasso problem

Sorry if this has been posted/answered - I couldn't find it in the memories.



In PS-CS I am trying to use lasso so I can sharpen an area but I keep getting this error message:



I've never gotten this before and have no idea why it's happening. I tried again on different photos and get the same warning message.
