Default brushes not working? :\

In my photoshop, until recently, my default brushes worked fine. But now when I try to use them nothing comes out at all, but if I try to use any brush I've downloaded there's no problem with them.
Yeah, so if anyones had this before and knows what to do, that would help alot. =D I looked through the brushes memories but couldn't find anything and I don't think I missed it..sorry if I did. ;\
