I'm ready to add text to my project, created with GIMP 2.0. I know you add text by pushing the button that has 'T' on it. However, I'm not satisfied with the font options that I see. I would like to be able to do the following:

a) use a font that I downloaded from www.dafont.com
b) use text effects, like bold, italic, outline, shadow

Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated!
