Full Icon Tutorial (Picture It 2002)
How to get from this to
Hope you enjoy it :-)
This is how your project will look in the end:

Start of with a 100x100 base. Open your image and drag it to the base. Move and resize till you're happy:

Select the image. Go to Photo & color effects -> Illusions. Pick Halftone: Screen. Go to advance settings and set size to 4:

Now for some color. Add a square and fill it with a gradient. I picked a circular gradient with green and blue. Place your color square under your image. Now select your image. Go to Photo & color effects -> Color or texture -> transparent fade gradual. Pick the edge fade. Move and resize your gradient till you're happy:

The border: add another square (no fill, line thickness 12, line color white). Go to Photo Effects -> Frame and edge effects -> Soft edges. I set mine to 8. Move and resize the border till you're happy. I moved it so you only see two sides.

Now all you need to do is add text. Mine's 04b03 pt 4 (PI will only allow you to set your font size to a minimum of pt.6, so you need to shrink the textbox manually: Change textbox -> Stretch text to fit box). Text at that size looks shitty inside PI, but when you save it, it will look fine.

Voila
