Hi, I'm a bit of a newbie icon maker and I have a couple really simple questions:

1. What is the best type of file to save an icon as? (.png, .jpg, etc.)

2. My icons always turn out a bit blurry and distorted once I upload them to photobucket. Is there a reason and a way to fix it?

but my icon is kind of blurry, and it only happened after I uploaded it to photobucket:



Help?
