Credit your resources with mouse rollovers
I just thought of a way to easily credit makers of brushes, textures, and other resources I've used in my icons: mouse rollovers! In the part of the code where you put your description ( alt="title or description" ), put the usernames of the people you got the resources from. Then all people have to do is hover their cursor over the icon to see your resource credits for it. You'll see an example here, on the first Ayu icon.
I've also got a Word file specifically for documenting what resources I used for which icon. I'm sort of obsessive-compulsive like that. XD It's helpful to have something like that, though, in case you forget what you used.

xagentstarling just told me that not all browsers support mouse rollovers. I use Internet Explorer, and it works in there. If it doesn't work in yours, let me know so I can include a listing of browsers that don't do rollovers.
