Pentool question

I'm trying to make a lineart cartoon out of my icon, using this tutorial: http://ic1.deviantart.com/fs7/f/2005/228/f/a/pentooltutorial.gif. The problem is, that when I click STROKE PATH, the only things that gets stroked are the separate dots I've made with the pentool, not the whole path. What am I doing wrong? I use Photoshop CS.

EDIT: Solved. The problem was the brushes I used to stroke. Apparentely it did not work when using basic brushes for some reason. =/
