Layer problem in PS 2.0
I asked this over at 
photoshop_lover and haven't gotten a response. So I figured I'd C&P my question over here in case any of you can help.
It's the strangest thing. Out of nowhere I suddenly have a problem with layers. Whenever I duplicate one, it simplifies itself immediently. It was working fine earlier when I was trying to erace part of a layer, then the screen froze. I shut the comp down (just putting it in sleep
mode), turned it back on, and the layer I was working on was somehow simplified and no matter how many steps I went back it wouldn't un-simplify. I've tried again with other pictures but ever since it automatically simplifies all duplicated layers. I've exited and rebooted, and still. Oddly enough it's only duplicated layers and new layers. Fill, gradient and texture layers are fine.
