Converting your PSP brushes into PS Brushes, or the other way around
Converting your PSP brushes into PS Brushes, or the other way around...
.JBR to .ABR or .PspBrush to .ABR or .ABR to .JBR...or...it keeps on going... :)
Ok...this has to do with a program every computer comes with (except apple computers...sorry guys!) This program is called MS DOS, and is located in All Programs >> Accessories >>> Command Prompt
Anyways, a black box shows up.
In it, you will type cd brushes (this is the folder you stored the brushes you want to convert in. If it was not stored in your brushes folder then check the folder it was stored in. For example, instead of typing cd brushes you would type cd my documents. I stored my brushes in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\asterisk. Therefore, after typing cd my documents I will press enter and then type cd asterisk.)
Anyways, after pressing enter, type dir/w. Press enter. This will make all of your brush files appear. It will make a list.
Example:

You will then type ren .abr .jbr (the order of jbr and abr depends on what you are converting to what. The first will be converted into the second. You must also specify a name for each one).
Example:
One of the things on my list said h.abr. I wanted to convert my h.abr file into a .jbr file, so that it would work in paintshop. So what I did was I typed ren h.abr h.jbr Then I pressed enter...and..that's it!!! You can keep doing this until you convert all of your brushes. Then simply exit and you're done!
