Font Installation Error

I'm sorry if this is not allowed - knowing me, I may have missed it in the info/rules, but I did look because the last thing I want to do is piss people/the mods off. So, please, if this isn't allowed, I would very much like to know where I can get answers for this problem. I am trying to use these new fonts to MAKE icons...but I can't.



<3 I usually don't have problems with computers, my dad works with them, so yeah. I've also never had problems installing fonts...till now. ><~

I d/led a few fonts from dafont.com the other day, but I go to unzip them into the fonts folder and I get an error that says "cannot create C://WINDOWS/Fonts/whatever font i'm installing.ttf" . I thought maybe it was a corrupted font file, so I tried another font, same thing. Thinking maybe it was something with WinZip, I just sent the folders to their own unzipped folder and tried to install the new font from the Font Folder - then it said Windows was currently using it and to wait and try again later. >_>;;

I really and honestly have no idea what's going on, and have had very little luck finding answers. If this post isn't allowed here, please tell me where I can post it. <3

I have found "Message WZ50" when WinZip tells me to press F1 for help - but still I have no luck finding any answers. =\


I have tried fontaddicts but haven't gotten any luck there. If this post isn't allowed [once again], can I please be directed in the direction where I can get help with this?
