PSP7 tutorial

OK. This is my first attempt at a tutorial, so please be kind.

First I started with these two images 1 2
I cropped them down, and resized them to 50x100

open a new transparent image 100x100 and paste both images as new layers.

I mirrored the second image just because I thought it looked better.


Then where the two images meet in the middle I used the selection tool and selected a 3x100 area and flood filled it with white.

I duplicated that layer, and went to effects>blur>gaussian blur, and set it to 2.00 then click ok. Merge all flatten.

another new layer with another gradient I made set to hue 100%

this light texture made by colorfilter desaturated, mirrored, and flipped virticaly set to screen 78%

Then another light texture made by colorfilter set to soft light 100%

That's it. I couldn't think of anything clever to put in text, but of course,
this isn't meant to be followed exactly.. so do what you want.
This is the final result.
