How to get this effect? (PSP9)

I know these "how to...?" questions get really annoying, but I am pretty interested in the effect of a certain icon by
passionfilled.
What I am talking about:
I think the golden skin is a beige multiply layer, but what about this dark red/brown look in the whole background? I tried lighten, but it didn't really work =/
