PSP8 Resize Problem

Hi! I looked all over the archives and tried all the messages already posted, and try as I might I cannot get my pictures to resize correctly. I am usuing Photo Shop Pro 8, and I can crop just fine, but then trying to make the image into a 100x100 square is seeming impossible. Any help would be much appreciated!
