Listens: "100 Years"- Five For Fighting

PS-CS2 Tutorial. (My first post.)

Alright, today we'll be making Image hosted by Photobucket.com this. Quite simple looking, no?

I started with this image.

Crop, resize, sharpened once to give me:

New Layer, using Image hosted by Photobucket.com this texture by ewanism. Set to Multiply. Set Opacity- 60%.

New Layer, using Image hosted by Photobucket.com this texture by rough_draft___. Set to Screen. Opacity- 30%.

Then I took the Eraser tool, set to 15% Opacity. I erased the part of the texture above that covered Malfoy's face.

Now I have this:

New Layer, using Image hosted by Photobucket.com this gradient.. though.. *sheepish* I don't remember who made it. Somewhere in my resources lies the answer. Set to Screen. Opacity- 25%

New Layer, using Image hosted by Photobucket.com this gradient. It was made by the same person as the previous one. Set to Color Burn. Opacity- 25%

New Layer, using Image hosted by Photobucket.com, also by the same person as the previous two. Set to Color Dodge. Opacity- 25%

Now I have this:

I took my bottom layer, the orignal picture, and duplicated it. Dragged it to the top. Set to Screen. Opacity- 100%

I then duplicated that layer, set it to the very top. (It should still be on Screen.) I reduced the Opacity to 50%

It should look like this now:

Then I took Image hosted by Photobucket.com this brush, by gaelicaoife. Color set at #2c180b. I put it on the very top.

I then used the Eraser tool, set to 15% Opacity and erased the bottom half of the brush. Leaving me with:

Then, using Impact set to 18pt. Color set at #2c180b. I added the text "actuallyfainted" and dragged it between layers until I liked the coloring. I then adjusted it until the lettering showed the way I wanted.

That left me with:

I thought it needed... something. So I took Image hosted by Photobucket.com this brush, by 1591 (who is amazing). Color once again set at #2c180b. I dragged it between the textures until I liked the coloring.

And, there you have it.

The lovely finished product.

Did this help anyone? I hope so.
