Tutorial 03 - Lily Cole - PSP8
By request, a tutorial for this icon:
The end result will not look exactly like the original icon because unfortunately I didn't save the psp image, so I had to recreate it.
I used this picture of Lily Cole [dramatically resized by photobucket, by the way].
Crop, resize, sharpen, and soften the skin to get your base:

Duplicate. Set to screen @ 80%:

Duplicate again. Set to softlight @ 50%:

New layer. #CCBCA9 Multiply @ 100%:

New layer fill with this gradient [by
crumblingwalls]:

Set that gradient to screen @ 100%:

Flatten image. Go to Automation Contrast Enhancement:
[Adjust>Brightness and Contrast>Auto Contrast Enhancement]

New layer - #CCBCA9 Multiply @ 30

New layer - #0B1837 Exclusion @ 30

New layer. I added a brush [made by me & set on black so you can see it]. I duplicated this layer once.

||
Original compared to recreated.
Pretty close, no?
Comments always appreciated and if you made anything with this tutorial, I'd love to see it. :)
