Photoshop Question

Okay...I'm in the middle of writing a tutorial, and I need my icon open (for the layers, colors, gradients, ect). But my PS7 just flipped out on me. It's been working fine ALL day long, but I dunno what I did just now. I click on a layer -- I might have double clicked or clicked multple times in a row for no reason, I'm not sure -- or something, then a whole bunch of Adobe Photoshop help windows popped up. I closed them out, typed up some more stuff in my tutorial, returned to PS7, and now I can't click on anything. My computer's not frozen or anything...I just can't select any layers, colors, tools, history...I can only select the stuff at the top -- you know 'File', 'Edit', 'Image', ect. I can only make new layers and select tools and stuff using my keyboard. Help please? If you need more info, let me know. Thanks in advance to those who can help!
