quick coloring tutorial

I do not have all the images for this...sorry :'(



PLEASE DO NOT IT EXACT..MESS AROUND A LITTLE..THIS IS A GUIDE.
1. take your base image and duplicate it twice
2. set one alyer to screen and one to soft light
3. play with the opacities untill u you like ti..it may be a little bright [MERGE ALL]
4. create a new layer and fill with #c19473 or another tan-ish color...I set the opacity to 44
5. create another new layer and fill with a dark blue color(i did#1a0f83)..set it to exclusion ...opacity 82
6. merge all..sharpen once
7. now you should have something like this
8. create a new layer and fill it with a lighter colored gradient like this one(i'm not sure who mad eit..sorry)
9. set it to overlay...i kept the opacity at 100...now you have this

10. then i merged and sharpened
11. I then dupilcated it and set the duplication to soft light(100 percent)
12. then i added a very dark blue(#2a1e7a) exclusion layer at 36 percent. Sharpen if need(I used the sharpen brush on eyes/hair only.
Now I have
and you're done. I added other effects ,text,brushes but this is jsut a coloring guide and i'm too lazy to do a full icon tut.
