How to go from
to 
1. As always, pick an image that you like, crop it, and then resize it to 100x100. Sharpen the image twice. Using the Smudge tool (hardness 44%, opacity 36%) smooth out any skin. Desaturate to –60. (adjust > hue and saturation > saturation). Duplicate the base layer, and set the top layer to SOFT LIGHT 64%.

2. Take this texture, made by
nine_am, and set it to SOFT LIGHT 100%.

3. Take this gradient and set it to SOFT LIGHT 100%.

4. Take this texture, made byregen, and set it to LIGHTEN 90%
