My first icon tutorial.

For PS CS, and knowledge of the program.
As always you can play with the blend modes to fit what your base and what you want it to look like.
Open the base, I've had to blend them closer together because the cap wouldn't resize to fit both of them in it.
Duplicate the base and set to Screen 66%.
Then I take this pattern from
amore and set it to overlay 100%.

Then this light texture from
colorfilter, and set it to Linear Light 62%.

And this pattern that I made and set it to Soft Light 21%.

Now you should have something that looks like this.

Now on to the deco box...The hardest part for me to put in to words :)
I used this brush by
_joni in black

I put a 1px Stroke around it after a bit, it made the picture look better, So I'm saying that here so I don't forget about it later. :)
Now duplicate you base, and adjust it so that Elizabeth's face is over the box where you want it.
Now hold CRTL and Click on the box layer in your layer palette.
Invert selection (CRTL+Shift+I), then press Delete.
You should now just have her face over the box.

It's pretty dull, so I did the same steps with the CRTL+Click, invert and delete but with a part of the pattern from
amore and set it to overlay 100%.
Now it should look like this. :D

A bit boring, so it needs text.
I used this brush from
rough_draft___ and set it to Color Dodge 100% and used a dark red color from the image.

Added the text "Friends" Which is what the brush is. Font I used was Yorstat, 12pt, with the set to Tracking 100.

Still boring, so I added the new trend of tiny text under "Friends", just random typed letters in Yorstat 4pt.
Now you're done!

Also I may have sharpened the images, I can't remember, but that's really up to you anyway.
Was this ok? If you use this I would LOVE to see what was made. :D
