makign movies into icons?

Okay, so I have these really cool .mov's that I downloaded, hoping I could turn them into icons.

I tried a bunch of stuff, and couldn't do it on anythnig I tried in my compy. I want them to be .gif

i was wondering if anyone knew how to do this and would be will ing to do it for me, or if anyone would be willing to teach me how. I looked in the archive and didn't find anything...it may have been there, and if it was, I'm sorry for being dumb and posting this.
