Help.

I looked around a bit in the memories, and I didn't see anything that could help me a whole lot. But please forgive me if I happened to miss something I could have used. I have really good smooth icons when I make them in paint shop pro 9 and animation shop 3, but the only thing I can save it as in animation shop 3 is a gif. Once I do that, all of my images end up really broken up like the ones below. I also save my paint shop pro images as jpg. Can anyone give me a tip on how to keep my images smooth? Thanks. = )
