PSP Error

Seems my hunch was right - the problems lies specifically with the text tool. I try to use it, the program closes. I've tried the repair function that comes along with the reinstall option, but that didn't help at all. Anyone, help? :(
Yes, I'm back. Must be a record, second time in a couple days. But I lov you people, and you're helpful, so...
My PSP7 was working fine this morning. I was working on an icon. At one point, I attempted to put text on it, and got this error message:
I now get that message every time I try to work with text. Or sometimes, the program just closes on its own.
Now, if I'm not mistaken, anything with an .exe extension is part of the actual program files. Does this mean I have to reinstall PSP? I remember this happening to me a couple months ago, and I didn't reinstall it then, it went away on it's own.
And if I do need to reinstall, will I loose all the graphics and brushes I have? Or should I save them to a disk before removing/reinstalling the program?
