Hi everyone!  This is my first tutorial, so please be nice.  :D (This tutorial is for PSP 8, but I think it can be used for other graphic programs)

We'll be making this icon

 From

1.Find a base.

2. Duplicate the base and set the top layer to screen, 40%.

3. Add a new layer and fill it with this gradient. (By crumblingwalls )

4. Set the blend mode to burn, 100%.

5. Add another layer, and fill it with a dark navy color, set the blend mode to exclusion, 100%.

6.Add this texture (by...  I think it's in my resource post, if it isn't and you know who it's by, please leave a comment)as a new layer, set the blend mode to lighten, 90%.

7. I didn't really like where the star is, so I used the deform to to move it abit, so that it's not in her face.

8. Add some finishing touches, I added a 1 px border, and used Modern No.20 to make some text at the bottom.   And Voila!
