Labyrinth tutorial using PSP7.

I figured I'd try my hand at a tutorial. Go from
this to this.

01. Begin with your prepared 100x100 base image that's sharpened, blurred, contrasted, etc.

02. Create a new raster layer. Flood fill it with the color #EBEDFF. Set to Soft Light.

03. Duplicate your base image and bring it to the top. Go to Color--> Adjust--> Hue/Sat./Lightness. Set saturation to -100. Set the color mode to Hard Light. Duplicate the layer and keep it on Hard Light.

04. Duplicate your original base image, bring the layer to the top, and set it to Screen.

05. Create a new raster layer. Flood fill it with the color #1A1C5A. Set to Exclusion.

06. Create a new raster layer. Flood fill it with the color #F6C2F8. Set to Burn on 50% opacity. Erase the color over her eyes.

07. Duplicate the original base image. Bring to top. Erase the iris of her eyes. Set to Soft Light.

08. Duplicate the original base image again. Bring to top. Change the saturation to -100 (as shown in step #3). Sharpen once. Set to Screen.

09. Create a new raster layer. I wrote "I'll place the sky" in the font Fountain Pen Frenzy, size 8, bold, color white. Go to Effects--> 3D Effects--> Drop Shadow. Change the vertical and horizontal offset to 1, opacity to 100, blur to 1, and color to #393246. Duplicate the layer and set both to Soft Light.

10. Create a new raster layer. I wrote "within your eyes" in the font Garamond, size 8, bold, color white. Repeat the drop shadow effect using the same settings as above. Duplicate this layer and move it below the original.

11. On the duplicated layer, go to Effects--> Blur--> Motion Blur. Set the angle to 90 degrees and the intensity to 40 pixels.

12. Create a new raster layer. Drag this layer just below the first text layer (with "I'll place the sky"). Using your draw tool, change the settings to a single line, width of 4, solid line style, and check antialias. Use the color #726982 to draw random lines behind the text. Change the opacity to 55%. Duplicate this layer and apply a motion blur with the same settings previously used. Keep the opacity to 55%.

13. With the paint brush tool set on black, draw some lines three pixels apart in the upper left hand corner. Fill between them with white.

14. Set that layer to Overlay.

15. Create a 1px border in the color #05001E. Lower the opacity to 40%, and you're finished!

Feedback, comments, etc. is highly appreciated!
