Writing Tutorials

I've got a question.

For those of you who've posted tutorials here, how do you go about it? I know some cap the layer info and do a cut-and-paste (I'm presuming) into an entry. But what about posting an icon-in-process?

Here's an example: I'm in the middle of writing a tutorial. What I did was to make copies of the icon-in-process along the way, along with explanations. I've got a good number of copies already, and the tutorial isn't even half done! I can't imagine posting something so gargantuan here, if you know what I mean.

So, what's the secret? Am I missing something? I poked around in the archive to see if there was a tutorial-making guide but I didn't find any...
