My 2nd Tut!!!

Since you guys were soo sweet with me on my first tut I decided to make another one , we're going to make this icon for the lovely Natalie portman using photoshop cs ;





Okay first of all this is the pic I'll be working on ;



then transfer it to this ;



Step 1: First crop the pic to 100x100 pixels

Step 2: sharpen twice , then fade sharpen (from edit) ,lower the opacity to 70% it depends on the pic's quality , if u feel like the pic is kinda ruined with the sharpening u can lower down it to 40% or just sharpen it once.

Step 3: My pic looks a little pixeled so take the blur tool with a 4 rounded brush , and strength 30% and carefully go all over the skin.
Since I'm greedy so I wanna make the pic look more glamourous so take the burn tool radius 3 , midtones 40% and carefully go over the eyes to make the eye liner more black and a little over the lips , but be careful and if u feel like u darkened the lips too much take the dodge tool with brush 5 , highlights 40% and move over the lips a little , and since I found out that she's wearing a necklace lol! so I went a little over it with my dodge tool to make it more sparkely :) and also a little over the teeth just for more whitness :)

Ok this is my base layer :

Step 4: Now duplicate the base layer twice ;

Copy 1> Screen at 85%
Copy 2> Soft light at 100% and desatuare it

Result:

Step 4: Create a new layer after the previous layers and fill it with this gradient I believe it's by crumblingwalls
I'm not sure actually , please correct me if I'm wrong)

Then set it to soft light 52%

Step:5 Final step is usually the text :D I wrote "Natalie" with font "Georgia" 12 pt with this color #434343

Then I added some small text brush.

Voila u're done :)
