How to use an image pack without making a single image into a brush.

So, I'm not sure about you, but I collect image packs like crazy & never make them into brushes. But I do use them constantly, here's my little trick to make image look like brushes. :)
Most image pack images come with a black image on a white background.
Like so;

This makes them easy to make into a brushes but difficult to use as just the image.
To make it look like a brush without actually creating a brush, I make a negative image of the image.
Like so;
Then, I copy the negative image and paste it onto my base of choice.
Base of choice;
I then choose a blend mode, different ones work differently so play around.

Exclusion;
