definition of bases
lately around here I've seen 'tutorials for bases'. I've always been under the impression that a base was just the bare-bones 100x100 picture you start out with, not anything that was touched up. Example: In my icon journal, when I say bases, I'm referring to something like this: 
which was my starting point for this: 
but according to what I've seen lately, this: 
or this 
would be my base. Can anyone clear this up?
