This is my first tutorial. Be gentle. =)

This is made in PS7, but can be easily translated.

First, I have the base, then I sharpened it once.
Step One: Duplicate the base and set it to soft light 100%.
Step Two: Add this and set it to exclusion 100%:
Step Three: Add this and set it to multiply 64%:
Step Four: Add this gradient and set it to lighten 70%:
Step Five: Add this brush made by Hybrid-Genesis. I put it on a black background so that for the people that don't have the brush, just set it to screen 100%:  

Then I just typed FRIENDS in Georgia size 8, and added some tiny text.
Final Result:
