Back with another brilliant question...

I recently changed from Photoshop 2, to 8. In 2, there was in the filter section (or at least I think it was the equivalent of filter compared to 8) an option that allowed you to add for example spot lights to an image. Thing is, I can't find it now in my eight version, and I waz wondering if anyone here could give me a hint of what I am missing. {=P
