aps, high quality print?

Hi there!
If I'm making a graphic which is going to be printed,
the size of my canvas in APS is very large, i.e. I can only see a small part of it at 100%.

Can I downsize it, apply effects/text/sharpen, and make it big again
without losing quality (in print) and/or other weird consequences?
