Colourising help!

I'm really having trouble trying to make her hair look alright pink. It mightn't look so bad when covered in all the other layers I intend on for the layout, but I'm not convinced. Any thoughts? I'm using Photoshop.

PS. It's icon size for my convenience and for this purpose. I guess if anyone wants to use it to make their own icon, that's fine (hah, like anyone would want to) but if you do, credit me, k? I've been working for hours on pink hair!
