Screwing with colors.

You should be familiar with Photoshop. I used version 6.0.
Assume that a new layer is used with each new line.
First start off with this:

Sharpen, duplicate twice, and desaturate duplicated layers.

Set the middle layer to "hue" at 65% opacity.
Set top layer to "overlay" at 71% opacity.

Color the skin with F5D6AE, set to "soft light", and be careful to avoid eyes lips and hair.

Darken Harry's hair by coloring over it with black set to "soft light" at 30% (New layer)
Color over both lips with B0327F. Set layer to "color dodge"

Add blush to Harry's cheeks with F0C8E2 set at 77% "soft light"
Color Dumbledore's eyebrows and nails with 821D5F set at "screen"
Color Dumbledore's beard with 821D5F set at "color dodge"

Using FF91C8 set to "soft light" color Harry's shirt. Duplicate.

On "soft light" use A6A2DF and F895FC to color the back. Add singular white pixels for the sparkles.

Draw two rectangles on the top and bottom, 10 pixels high and 100 pixels wide, using the select tool. Fill with this texture

Draw a narrow strip at the edge of the bottom rectangle and fill it with this texture. Image hosted by Photobucket.com Go to "Blending Options" and select "Bevel and Emboss". Select "Drop Shadow".

Duplicate previous layer and drag strip to the edge of the top rectangle. Go to blending options and deselect "Use Global Light". Change angle to -148.

For text(SQUEE!HBP): Arial Black(11pt) at E6AAED set on "screen" at 75%. Go to "Blending Options" and select stroke at one pixel, change color to black. Go to "warp text" and select "flag".

For text(7/16): Arial Black(12pt) at E6AAED. Go to "Blending Options", select "Drop Shadow" and "Inner Glow" .

Surround the image with a 1 pixel black border and you're done.
