I use PSP 7 at the current time, and I had a question about creating brushes. While I do know how to create custom brushes, when I try to make any that are larger, it says "Selection is larger than the allowed size of 255x255." Is there a way to change these settings, or possibly override it?

Just in case there is another way that I missed while reading the memories, the way I have always created brushes is to make the image, select it, click on the brushes and hit "Create."
