Hi! I'm not sure if this is an icon tutorial, but I found it very neat. So, just delete it if it's not allowed.

It's a video tutorial (over at Deviant Art) as it says on the picture and it's really cool. It's a different way rather than colorizing so you should check it out.

I'm def. trying this one out! :D

edit: I added some examples that I made following this tutorial, just to give you an idea of what the outcome is for different pictures.

I isolated his lightsaber. It was harder with this image since his lightsaber consisted of many different shades of blue. If you want, you can make more than one selection to make sure you get all the color in there. Just save all your selections in the channels palette and do the same exact thing with each selection as you would with one.

I isolated his lips, as you can see. And I know it looks like he's wearing lipstick, but I love his lips. HAHA! I didn't do alot of selections with this, just one.

I think I like this one better than the rest. I believe I did 2 selections with this one. One for the darker pink and one for the lighter, and It turned out lovely. :D

I know it may be hard to remember the tutorial at first, but if you watch the tutorial a couple times and do it a couple times, it's easy to remember. :D Enjoy!
