request for a grunge brush tutorial

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to make grunge brushes. I know how to make brushes in general on my graphics program (PSP), but I don't know what sort of images and whatnot to use to make a grunge brush. Could someone give me some ideas please?

The memories feature is broken so I can't check to see if this sort of thing is already there. :/
