We’re going from this:

to this:

In Photoshop 7
Start off with your base(by rupiconic):

Sharpen it, Filter>Sharpen>Sharpen.
It should look like this:

Then, Make a new layer, and fill it with a dark blue(I used #201D87) Then set it to Exclusion Opacity: 100%. It should now look like this:

Duplicate the base and drag it to the top. Then, set the mode to screen.

Add a tan-ish type color. I used #C3BC8E and set it to Multiply, 75% Opacity. It should now look something along the lines of this:

Now, we will add this gradient by crumbingwalls:

Multiply, 100% Opacity.
Your Icon should now look like this:

Then, Duplicate your base, drag it to the top, Blur it, using Gaussian Blur. (Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur.) I set it to around 3.7. I then set that layer to color dodge, 50% opacity. It should now look something like this:

Duplicate the tan-ish color layer(#C3BC8E) and set it to Overlay 75% It should now look like this:

Add a new layer and fill it with a deep reddish/orange/brown color. I used #8E4823. Set the mode to Multiply Opacity: 63%. It should look something like this:

Then I typed an “H” in “Old English Text MT” in size 30 in the same color(#8E4823) and put it in the top right corner. Set it to Multiply, 40% Opacity.
Then add this border brush(I don’t know who it’s by—Sorry! If anyone knows, please let me know! Thanks), I used the same reddish/orange/brown color that I used in the last step.( #8E4823). Set it to Screen 32% Opacity.

Then, I just made stupid typings (ajkgalkjg;ldfjg and such) and put it in size 4 font under the H. I used color #8E4823 again, and set it to Multiply, 40% Opacity.
And—Tada, You’re done.

Okay. Well, this was my first tutorial, and it should be pretty simple. But if anything doesn’t seem clear to you, or I messed something up, please let me know! Thanks! I hope you enjoy.
