Cap and all resources outside of what is specified were done by myself*
1) Layers>Duplicate>layer properties: screen. Do this step three times and then merge (layer>merge all)
2) edit>adjust>sharpen>sharpen
3) duplicate layer and then greyscale the top (colors>greyscale)
4) set the greyscale layer to softlight (Layers>properties>softlight)
5) pick a small text base. I chose one by chouchoune. Layer>paste as new layer>layer properties:multiply
6) Pick a decorative base. Layer>paste as new layer> layer properties: screen
7) pick a smaller image and paste it as a new layer. Layer>arrange>move down
8) pick out a light texture. Paste as a new layer and set to screen. I notice sometimes light textures are usually yellows or oranges and too yellow, so I then go to effects> enhance photo> adjust color> and set it to blue tones.
9) sort of washed out. effects> enhance photo> auto contrast enhancement: lighter, mild, and flat.
10) Im a colorho, what can I say? New gradient (who made this?) set to overlay.
11) still not happy with it, and I dont like that empty box at the top, so I have another light texture, set to screen and erasing the parts over his face.
12) did i say colorho? I think i did. Another light texture with bright shades on a screened layer, shooing it close to the bottom corner for just a splash of color.
13) create a new layer and floodfill it with white, set to overlay at 46%
voolah ~ I wont be able to answer any questions or reply to comments/edit post with that gradients credit, as a HUGE HURRICANE OF DOOM is coming here tomorrow, but when I come back id love to see what everyone made~!
Alot of people I asked liked the icon best stopped at step five, whcih is simple and nice, I do agree - but I just like bright colors too much :D
