Adobe PS Elements 2; Grunge tutorial

Requires the most basic knowledge of PS, but can probably be easily translated. I'll do my best to answer questions. Be kind! It's my first tutorial.
First, start with your image. Crop the face to 100x100 pixels, icon size. Take your burn tool, and make circles under the eyes and around the mouth. Doesn't work the best on all skintones, but just do what you can. You may want to change the settings, here are mine. Size: 7px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 50%. Your base should look something like this.
Duplicate this twice. Your original base should be set to hard light, next, to multiply, top, to pin light. All should be at 100% opacity. Should look similar to this.
Under all of these layers, create a new layer, and add this texture. No idea who it's from...so, sorry. The icon should now look like this.
Add this texture right on top of the layer you just worked on. (Again, no idea who made it!) So, it should be the second layer. Set this layer to Linear Burn. Opacity 100%, and it should look like this.
Next, click on any of the layers with Naomi's face. Hold shift + ctrl + right click on any of the layers to just select her head. Create a new layer on top without de-selecting. Fill that layer with a black diagonal line brush,and make it soft light at 30% opacity. Slap on a solid red border (#3A0400) and you're done!
